St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Portland is in the process of calling a new rector. To help cover some of the relocation costs, the community held a Summer Soirée on July 11, 2009.
Generous donations supported the sold-out event which included a gourmet dinner, a silent auction and a lively oral auction. The result was $29,000 raised, significantly more than the goal.
