Deacon Marla is leaving St. Michael's and All Angels Church in Portland a much better parish than when she first arrived. Her spirit and faith has inspired many to step up to live fully into their baptismal covenant.
Marla accepted a call to serve the parish of St. Matthew's as they look to their future after their rector and a majority of their members left the Episcopal Church to form St. Matthew's Anglican Church. Of course, behind every great woman is a great man. In this case, Gary Lawrence who has anchored so much at the church. Here are a few pictures of them over the years.
