One of the most notable symbols of Florence is the Duomo with its orange-tiled dome. Finished in 1463, it is Europe's 4th largest church and still the tallest building in Florence. We ascend the stairs between the walls to gain a panorama view of this ancient city.
Not far away is the Uffizi, Italy's greatest art gallery. Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" lives in the Uffizi along with Michelangelo's "The Holy Family." This 6-minute video is a 63MB flash file. It will take a moment to begin playing depending on your connection speed. View on
