Public radio is one of the few remaining sources of balanced and intelligent news and information remaining. It is a good example of how excellence can be achieved without the pressure of government or profit goals.
Individual contributors and volunteers are the "Public" behind public radio. Here is an example of volunteers who arrived at Oregon Public Radio this morning at 6:30am in order to receive calls and pledges of support from listeners. This 2½-minute video is a 27MB flash file.
